It has been such a wonderful Thanksgiving week/weekend! I took last week off from blogging to spend some quality time with the family, and it was so nice having Mike off from work since last Wednesday! There was lots of time spent on the living room floor with Emily! It’s been a big couple of weeks for her – popping her first tooth through, pulling herself up to stand against the couch, and saying “dada” and “mama” more than ever before (and of course we pretend she knows exactly what she is saying)! Our Thanksgiving was pretty laid back – I spent the morning baking pies with my mom and started the preparations for our dinner, then we headed to Mike’s aunt’s house for lunch and then back to my parent’s house for dinner. And yes, we did do some Black Friday shopping – honestly, we didn’t get a whole lot on Friday since we’ve been taking advantage of all the great deals that have been going on throughout the entire month of November! We were able snag some great deals on a new fridge, dining room chairs, couches and some decor items for our new house this month! And we got 4 free tanks of gas with the fuelperks we earned by buying gift cards to those stores! Anyways…back to the weekend. Mike and I were able to enjoy some time alone at the Pitt football game on Friday and the Pitt basketball game on Saturday while our parents took turns watching Emily. And we ended the weekend with some (more) online shopping and I celebrated my cousins birthday with a little Painting with a Twist party. Last little highlight for the weekend – they hung the drywall in our house! It was one incredible weekend over here. Sad to have Mike go back to work tomorrow, but thankful for the time we’ve had together!
