Guys! We are officially getting out and about a little more, and it’s been great! We spent last Wednesday and Thursday in Tunkhannock, PA for Mike’s work trip, and Emily and I made the trip with him! We were accompanied by some of our closest friends (who also went up for a work trip) and enjoyed some time with them before they move to Tulsa next week (insert sad face emoji)! We headed back home Friday and spent that evening at Mike’s parents’ house visiting with Mike’s grandma and aunt and uncle who came in from Johnstown. It’s always fun seeing friends and family meet Emily for the first time! Saturday we “slept in” then gave Emily her first real bath – Yay! Then, we went to Mike’s other grandparents’ house to visit with that side of the family and for them to meet Emily (their first great granddaughter) before heading to Matt’s (Mike’s brother) baseball game – look at us go! We spent the rest of Saturday relaxing on the couch and watching some Fixer Upper! Sunday morning, we even made it to church – WHAT?! This was a huge accomplishment for us, and we’ve been excited for the day we could make it back! It wasn’t without a few awkwardly loud grunts from her, but we made it through and felt like she passed the true test for us being able to go out in public with her – I mean, it doesn’t get much quieter than at church, am I right?! The rest of our Sunday was spent mowing the lawn (Mike) and catching up on emails (Alison) before taking a stroll to a local ice cream shop! With me spending the better half of last week away with Mike, this week is the real deal – I’m on my own once and for all. Say a little prayer for me!
