Today’s Tip | Time Together On Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day is busy, nerve-racking, exciting and sometimes even stressful. One thing we never want to happen is couples not having any time set aside for each other on their wedding day to just take it all in. You are with your bridal party in the morning, then off to the church with your friends and family, pictures with everyone then off to the reception you go. Before you know it, the day you’ve been waiting for and dreaming about is coming to an end. Who’s that person that calms your nerves and shares in your excitement? The person you are marrying! So, why not make sure you have some time together to revel in the moment and be alone for a little on your wedding day. Today, we wanted to share a few ways to ensure that you have some time to spend with your spouse on your wedding day!

  • First Look. I’m sure you’ve heard us talk about these before, but if not, check out this post! Anyways, first looks are a great way to make sure you not only have some alone time to take it all in on your wedding day, but they can really help get rid of all those nerves before you walk down the aisle.

  • Getaway Car for just the two of you. While having a party bus or limo with your entire bridal party is a blast, if your timeline doesn’t allow for much alone time, consider sending your bridal party away in a limo but get a fun getaway car just for the two of you. Mike and I drove by ourselves to our reception and loved having that time to take in what had just happened! We were finally married!!!

  • Take some time away during the reception. You two will eat dinner first, and it’s usually at least 30-40 minutes until all of your guests are done eating and ready to party. Use that time right after you two finish eating to get away, somewhere quiet and take it all in!

We hope this helps and that you can take a couple minutes on your wedding day to spend alone with that person you just said “I Do” to! Happy Thursday friends!
