We spent last week living out of a hotel in Columbia, South Carolina. I’ve been blessed in so many ways by going full-time with my business last year…I’m so thankful that I’m able to travel with Mike wherever his work may take him. He had a work conference last week, so I booked a plane ticket and joined him to make a little getaway out of it! While he was at the conference from 8-5 each day, I was working from Starbucks (which just so happened to be right across the street from our hotel)! Last week I had so much stuff to get done, so it was actually kinda perfect that I didn’t have any distractions and could just plow through my to-do list (that included putting the final touches on my new website and helping launch Lace & Loyalty’s social media – which was among the gazillion other things on our plates with Lace & Loyalty)! Each night we tried a place new to eat for dinner and dessert. If you know anything about us, you should know that we love us some food, and we definitely ate our fair share last week! Each time we travel to a new city, we immediately look up the best local restaurants in the area…it’s somewhat of a tradition for us! We had the best BBQ in town at Hudson’s Smokehouse, the best pizza in town at Mellow Mushroom, the best burgers in town at Pawley’s Front Porch, the best pasta in town at Rosso’s and the best steak and seafood in town at Blue Marlin! While the weather was just the same as Pittsburgh (if not worse on some days) it is always nice to just getaway and have some fun! Enjoy a little peek into our trip…
