Shady Elms Farm Wedding Photography

This wedding was definitely extra special for us to be a part of. I’ve known both Abram and Melanie since we were kids, and Melanie is also the younger sister of a great friend of ours from our life group. It’s a small world, I’ll tell ya! And to top it all off, that same couple from our life group happens to be the ones who run Shady Elms Farm, so we knew this wedding was going to be extra fabulous, and that’s exactly what it was! It was calling for 80% chance of rain all week leading up to their big day, and while it did rain a good bit of the morning, we were blessed with a nice break in the afternoon, allowing us to get some fabulous portraits! And wait until you see these details! You won’t miss them because there are a gazillion of them…from vintage books and an antique car to a vinyl record guestbook, an abundance of gorgeous flowers and a whole lot more! Sit back and enjoy because this post is a long one!
Abram and Melanie, we couldn’t be more excited for the two of you to start your lives together as husband and wife down south! We wish you two all the best and can’t wait to see what God continues to do in your lives! Congratulations!
Melanie got each bridesmaid a unique vintage clutch!
The detail in her ring is stunning!
Dad’s first look…
And the bridesmaids’ first look at Melanie…
Melanie, you are SO gorgeous!
Seriously…could they be any cuter?
Each bridesmaid wore a different dress and had slightly different flowers that were designed by the bride herself!
Due to the rain all morning, they followed through with their back up plan and got married at a church right up the road. Before Melanie made her entrance, Abram and his brothers laid flower pedals on the aisle for her to walk on…so sweet!
They made their escape in her dad’s antique Cadillac!
Some initial details when you first got to the farm…the schedule for the evening and the “gift house”.
The vinyl record guest book!
And the most amazing chalkboard program that I’ve ever seen!
Gosh, I just loved these two!
Aren’t their dresses amazing?!
They even had a Rita’s station…
And now for more details…
You are about to witness the most epic cookie table display you’ve ever seen!
And now for the reception decor…brace yourselves…
That is indeed a ladder from the barn hung above the head table with flowers and chandeliers hanging from it!
It was just so amazing to see Melanie’s vision come to life!
Party time!
