TODAY IS THE DAY! Today, I am Alison Mish, full-time wedding photographer. Today, I don’t have to drink coffee out of a to-go mug. Today is the start of a whole new journey! Today, I am working from home!

I still can’t believe it! My 8-5 days are gone, and I am now able to fully dedicate my time to this business and the amazing clients that God has blessed us with! We couldn’t be more excited for this new adventure! I never would have guessed in a million years that I would be able to do this…

There is so much to look forward to, but let’s start with this month! Happy April, friends! We are very much looking forward to some warmer weather, taking Elly to the park, and the official start of baseball season!

Let’s take a look at this month’s happenings…

• Baseball season kicks off, and we are traveling to Cincinnati to see The Great American Ballpark (aka ballpark #12)!!!
• We have two lovely weddings to photograph!
• Engagement sessions are kicking into gear this month!
• Our PSL (Pittsburgh Sports League) softball games start on Thursday!

Personal Goals

• Start (and keep) a daily routine (that includes: quiet time in the morning, exercising daily and cooking some delicious dinners that are ready when Mike gets home from work).
• Finish our bathroom…we are SO close (we just have to finish the last couple tiles on the floor and put the baseboards back up and it will be good to go!)
• Eat healthier (which I think will be easier working from home now, since we really don’t keep that much junk food around the house…AND there will no longer be a big candy bowl in the main office to tempt me)!
• Switch my closet to spring/summer clothes, and get rid of clothes I no longer wear/need.
• Go to a park or trail with Elly at least once a week.

Business Goals

• Set office hours and stick to them.
• Start a new blogging series (excited for this one)!
• Meet with some of my new photography friends for coffee!
• Plan a mini session event to raise money for Welcome the Children – more on this to come!
• Organize my computer files.

Today is most definitely a “Merry Monday” in the Mish house!
