Many of you may remember this familiar face from a post a couple weeks ago. Danielle and I have a lot in common…one of our similarities is our love for photography. Last month we got together for coffee and a portrait session…It started with the idea of just getting new photos taken of ourselves, but turned into something so much more. She mentioned the quote by Daniel Levitin “. . . ten thousand hours of practice is required to achieve the level of mastery associated with being a world-class expert — in anything.” And boy did that hit home! So, we decided that about once a month we are going to get together for a practice portrait session…different locations, different lighting situations, different outfits, and different props each time!

I love photography…I love the challenge that comes with lighting and the joy that comes with the finished product. I never want to stop learning and becoming a better photographer…and this is a perfect opportunity to continue doing just that (while enjoying a cup of joe with a dear friend)!
