My weekend got off to a great start as I was showered with more gifts and love for baby Emily by my sweet friends and co-workers from the dental office! It was so great seeing these ladies who I don’t get to see all that often anymore and I was overwhelmed by their generosity to throw me a shower and get us some amazing gifts that we’ll be putting to good use here in a couple weeks when Emily makes her appearance!

After my shower, it was off to Seven Springs we went for a weekend getaway with our life group! One of the couples has a condo up there so we took advantage of it, and all ten of us packed up our busy lives and retreated to the mountains for some time to relax and just hang out! The guys played lots of Euchre and went skiing all day Saturday while us girls were girls and spent almost the entire weekend in our leggings and sweatshirts, cozied up by the fire place under blankets chatting, telling stories and eating! I’m so incredibly thankful to have such amazing friends and woman in my life!

Our time there ended with a solid hour of us all looking for the keys to Mike’s car and after looking through every bag, coat pocket and even the trash (!) we came up short and couldn’t find them. Our friends took us home to get my car and another set of keys for Mike’s car. We were supposed to head straight to Tunkhannock, PA (I’m sure you’ve never heard of it!) from Seven Springs for a little work trip for Mike, but our little pit stop home put us back a bit. After all the car key drama was behind us, we started our trek out east and enjoyed an entire car ride without music, just chatting about life and all that’s ahead of us! Love those quality talks with my man!

I woke up this morning in Tunkhannock (aka the Arlington of PA – you Bachelor fans know what I’m talking about) and am spending the morning relaxing at the hotel while Mike is finishing up his work meetings! We’re heading back home in just a couple hours and and once we get home, we’re thinking it’s about that time to start packing our hospital bags and make sure the car seat base is in the car and ready to go – you never know at this point…am I right?!
