Happy New Year!! Can you believe it?! We brought in the New Year at a high school friend’s wedding – we were guests at this one, and we had a blast! This weekend was full of watching finishing Broadchurch on Netflix, napping with Em, watching Em practice walking with her doll pram, visiting the house, experiencing International Missions Week at church, and going to a (new) neighbor’s house for dinner! How did you bring in the New Year?

Mish Casa Update: shutters and countertops installed…Work to be done: painting porch pillars, installing porch railings, laying carpet, hooking up appliances and finishing any final touches!

Every year our church has an International Missions Week, and this year they highlighted Kenya and the school and church that Mike and I have visited and supported over the past 4 years! It was amazing to see the entire church lobby transformed into the Mathare Slums, from replica shanty homes to the market to the church and classrooms – what an incredible experience to share just a little bit of what it’s like over there!
