Weekend Shenanigans | More House Stuff

We spent more of this weekend unpacking and settling into the new house. It’s amazing how much we’ve been able to get down over this past week and weekend and how much it is feeling like “home.” Friday we hung some stuff around like house (like a key rack in the mudroom, an under-the-cabinet paper towel holder and a pantry rack) and assembled and installed an Ikea shoe holder and table for our entryway. Saturday our carpenter finished installing our living room built-ins and Mike puttied the holes in preparation for our painter to paint them later this week. They turned out awesome and we are so excited to get them finished up and decorated! We also assembled a bookshelf for my office and spray painted it gold (another Ikea hack)! Saturday night we installed some fun wall-mounted lamps next to our bed and ended the night with an episode of Making a Murderer. After church on Sunday we took a walk around the neighborhood because it was in the SIXTIES! We still can’t believe we were moving in with 7 inches of snow on the ground just a week ago. Then we finished hanging the blinds up in the guest rooms upstairs and tidied up a bit after a busy weekend. We’ve been going non-stop for the past week and have another week or so of finishing up some stuff before we can take a breather – but it’s been worth it to see the progress we’ve already made! So excited to share lots more house photos soon! Stay tuned!

New knobs on our dressers, a peak at our bed and wall lamps, our stroll through the neighborhood and last night’s sunset
