Weekend Shenanigans | Easter

Our weekend was off to a great start with Mike having the day off on Friday and meeting with a super sweet couple for a client meeting that afternoon! Then, after a change of evening plans, Mike and I ended up heading downtown to Sienna Mercato’s Empioro for a little date night – something that may not come as easy in the near future with our little Emily coming soon.

Saturday morning, I made some homemade quiche (thanks to a delicious recipe from our favorite Okies) before we spent the rest of the day relaxing, taking Elly on a walk (Operation: Walk Out Emily – as we like to call it), and ending the night with a pizza and Intersellar (although it wasn’t quite what I was expecting, and it was a little over my head). Oh, and I treated myself to a little spring mani thanks to the talented Dallas of Dallas Beauty Lounge!

Sunday, we enjoyed a great Easter sermon at church followed by a lovely Easter dinner at our house! It was the first time I “hosted” a holiday dinner, and I loved it so much! Mike and I are always up for hosting, but this was a whole other ballgame! I couldn’t have done it without my amazing mom (who provided most of the food)! With Emily’s arrival up in the air, we weren’t sure what our Easter dinner was going to look like, so my mom did most of the planning – like I said, couldn’t have done it without her! Not only did we have my parents over, but also two of our closest couple friends whose families were either out of town or don’t live nearby. It was different than any other Easter, but we had a great time with some of our favorite people celebrating the resurrection of our Savior (and watching some golf)! This weekend was extra “special” as it was our original due date – weird! Here’s to another week and hopefully our last one before we meet Emily! We hope you all had a great Easter weekend…until next time, friends!
