We’ve had Elly for nearly two weeks, and we are just now starting to learn some of her antics…and she is finally starting to learn some of ours! I’m glad we don’t know what she is thinking when we talk to her like a baby in our high-pitched voices asking her if she has to go potty or if she wants to snuggle. Here are the top ten things we have learned thus far with our new puppy…

 
1. She cries (like a baby – quite literally)…and it’s normal (or so we’ve heard).
2. Letting her drink water before bed never ends well.
3. She goes up the stairs a lot more gracefully then she comes down.
4. “Puppy eyes” are a real thing…and don’t even get me started on the head tilt.
5. Shoelaces and tags can provide hours of entertainment.
6. She doesn’t usually eat much, but she’d eat an entire bag’s worth if we feed her out of our hands.
7. Dogs can be quite clumsy.
8. Socks make for a great (free!) toy.
9. She doesn’t like being alone…but who does?
10. She has A.D.D. with her toys.
