Top Ten Tuesday | California

As you may know, Mike and I spent last week enjoying a lovely vacation in California with my parents! There are many (many) things I absolutely love about the west coast, and I may or may not have tried to convince my hubby to let us move there! He allowed me to dream for a little then brought things back into real-life perspective! Here are my absolute favorite things about California and our trip there…

1. The weather (obvious, I know)

2. Visiting a friend (it was so, so fun visiting with a close friend from high school (and her awesome boyfriend) and gallivanting around L.A.to all their favorite spots!)

3. Santa Monica Farmer’s Market (best. farmer’s. market. ever.)

4. Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium (so fun to knock 2 ballparks off our list during this trip, and it was even more fun watching Mike enjoy Dodger Stadium, home of his favorite team)!

5. Surfing (I learned how to surf 4 years ago when I was out here visiting my friend, but this time the real joy came from watching Michael out there for nearly 2 hours trying to get the swing of things)

6. Shopping (tons of fun places to shop…the little boutique and paper shops were my favorite! A post to come on some of my California purchases!)

7. Cupcake ATM (enough said…)

8. The food (from In and Out to Sprinkles ice cream and everything in between…it was all fantastic!)

9. Relaxation (even though we were “busy” doing things throughout L.A…it was so nice being away)

10. Griffith Observatory (the most stunning sunset, awesome view of the Hollywood sign and downtown LA, complete with a telescoped view of the moon)
