Introducing…the 1st annual Smiles for Africa!!

WHY: To raise money for our upcoming trip to Kenya and for a change in Africa through Welcome the Children (welcomethechildren.org)

WHAT: We are offering a day of 20-30 minute portrait sessions for you and your loved ones. {Couples.Families.Friends.Students.Children.SmallGroups}

WHEN: Saturday, April 21,2012

LOCATION: Shady Elms Farm (50 Caldwell Road  Hickory, PA 15340)

MINIMUM DONATION: $50

As you may have read before on my blog, I have a deep love for Kenya (specifically the Mathare Slums). I have met those people, and loved on those kids! I have seen where they live and what they eat, and I have a desire to see a change. Mike and I are headed back to Kenya in June, and in order to raise money for the trip and for the beautiful kids in Africa, we are holding a day of mini-session and naming it “Smiles for Africa!” Whether or not we go back next year or every other year, it is a dream of ours to see a change in Africa, and we hope to make “Smiles for Africa” an annual event!

Any money raised over the cost of our trip will be given to the non-profit organization “Welcome the Children.” To learn more about Welcome the Children, go to www.welcomethechildren.org.

Over the years, we hope to come alongside “Welcome the Children” to raise money and awareness for the Mathare Slums in Africa and to see our dreams and visions become a reality.
