Where do I even begin?! I can’t believe it is finally here! After months of working with Ravyn from Three Fifteen Design, our new website and rebranding is complete, and we couldn’t be more excited! It is perfect and so true to us and our business! When we first started working with Ravyn she asked questions like, “What do you want people to feel when they are on your website?” And, “Who are you trying to connect with?”  It was such a great experience as I sat down and wrote out goals and ideas for what I wanted to be portraying to my clients. One of the biggest changes to my brand was adding Michael! It quickly went from “my business” to “our business.” Mike is with me at every wedding and our clients have seen our business turn into “Alison and Mike.” We started by making little changes like the “+” between “am” in my logo, making it stand for Alison and Mike, as well as including tons of fun facts about us as a couple on our new website. We feel that so much of what we bring to our business is because of our love for each other and how we see love in the couples we photograph! I told her that we wanted our website to feel “comfortable”, filled with collections of information about us and our business. We really wanted to share a lot about who we are as a couple and as a team of photographers, because we felt that it would allow our clients to get a good idea of whether or not we would be a good fit for them on their wedding day! Something we learned throughout this process was how important font selection is! We changed the fonts on our website SO many times, I lost count! Fonts say a lot about your business and your site! We knew we wanted a little bit of each of us on the blog, and we chose to mostly portray that via the fonts we used. The girly, handwritten font for myself and the straight, neat font for Michael. I absolutely love how Ravyn was able to pull all of it together to make it look so amazing!

Another thing we strived for throughout our website was to be ourselves! This rings especially true for us with our promo video! We are goofy and sometimes, kind of awkward, but that is who we are, and we own that! Filming our promo video (and then watching it) was incredibly uncomfortable at first, but Matt captured us perfectly!

But wait…there’s more! In honor of the launch of our new brand and website, we are hosting a SESSION giveaway!

Who: Couples or individuals interested in a new profile picture for Facebook an engagement, anniversary or portrait session or some “just for fun” pictures!
What: 1-2 hour session and a CD of the final edited images!
Where: Any Pittsburgh location of your choice (if outside of Pittsburgh, there will be a small travel fee)
