My Weekend in (mostly) iPhone Photos

I hope you all had a great Easter weekend! It was quite busy, but super exciting on our end. Here’s a little weekend update from the Mish’s!

For starters, Mike and I officially signed offer agreement papers on the house pictured below. And for those of you who don’t know, this is our second time in the past month doing this. We had come to an agreement on another house last month, but it fell through during the inspection process due to electrical problems. God has used that situation in many ways, from better preparing Mike and I for this whole house-buying process to working on our patience and reliance on Him. It has been so evident that He had better things in store for us! Let’s just hope for better “inspection news” this time around!

Friday I spent the afternoon with my friend Danielle at an antique shop doing another portrait session. We had a blast (the lighting in there was challenging and beautiful at the same time), but more on that day in a later post!

The weekend also consisted of a fun shoot at Mingo Park, dying eggs with Mike and making my first homemade pie crust on my own (I’ve done this many times with my mom by my side, but it’s a whole other ballgame when it’s just you and the rolling pin)!

And Sunday we had the opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior with our 2 friends from China (who are studying for their PhD’s at Pitt – no bias there) and my parents. Not only was it a great morning of worship, but also a great afternoon of fellowship and food (the first holiday meal I prepared on my own – woohoo)! The only thing that could’ve made this great weekend even better would’ve been to share it with Mike’s parents as well! Mike and I are so thankful to have such loving parents and in-laws…God is good!

On our way to pick up the girls in the morning we passed Heinz Chapel (which always puts a smile on my face, remembering the day I married my best friend) and on our way home we witnessed the beautiful sunset along the Pittsburgh skyline (such a great way to end a wonderful day and weekend)!

Happy Monday!
