While last weekend was all about relaxing and spending time with our families, this weekend was spent meeting new friends and catching up with old friends! Oh, and we still found some time to relax as well (especially as we still find ourselves dragging a bit and trying to catch up on sleep – could this still be the aftermath of our Vegas trip?)! Today is feeling like a bullet point kinda Monday, so let us catch you all up on our weekend highlights bullet point style…

• We watched the movie Brave and caught Elly standing on her hind legs in front of the TV watching it with us (and barking at the bears)…P.S. great movie as always, Pixar!
• We were excited to wake up and make french toast on Saturday morning, but quickly realized that we didn’t have bread and weren’t about to get out of our PJ’s to head to the store, so we settled for bagels.
• I learned/attempted calligraphy for the first time and am now very determined to master it. Some of you may recall one of my goals for this year was to work on my handwriting, and what better way than to learn calligraphy!
• We went out to Burgatory for dinner with Zack and Hannah from Zack Wilson Photography on Saturday. They took us out as a thank you for a referral, and we had a blast chatting and connecting with them! And you know we love us some Burgatory! Tender, juicy burgers and a Pretzel Caramel Milkshake? Yes, please!
• And finally, we went to the Tim Hawkins comedy show at our church last night with a bunch of our close friends! It was hilarious and such a great time spent with great friends that we don’t get to see nearly as often as we would like. Although the busyness of life can get in the way sometimes, we are so thankful for having such amazing friends that we can just pick right back up with even if it’s been a while!
