I’ve been following Lara Casey’s blog (p.s. I’m so pumped to meet her at the Pursuit 31 conference in October), and she has been writing all about making things happen this year! Earlier this month she talked about writing out the things we are saying “No” to this year and the things we are saying “Yes” to, and I wanted to share mine with you today!

This year, I am saying “No” to:

• Worrying
• Believing the lie that I’m not good enough
• Fear of the unknown
• Fast food (as long as pizza doesn’t count!)
• Needing the approval of others
• Negativity
• Being in my office after my set “office hours” (this is for April when I start full-time!)
• Putting too much pressure on myself
• Compulsive buying
• Stressing over all the small stuff
• Feeling like I need to be in control
• Self-doubt

This year, I am saying “Yes” to:

• Keeping a journal
• Maintaining an active lifestyle
• Weekly dinner planning
• Looking forward
• Making time for myself/reflection
• More time with God in the mornings
• Breakfast every morning
• Being positive
• Reading before bed
• Making new friends and digging deeper into the friendships I currently have
• Sewing
• A clean house
• More snuggle time with Mike and Elly
• Big dreams
• Being more spontaneous
• Visiting new places
• Simplifying
• Helping up-and-coming photographers
• Encouraging others
• Drinking more water
• More personal pictures (Instagram doesn’t count)
• Loving like Jesus did
• Vulnerability
• Better handwriting!

So, I realize there are a lot more things that I am saying “Yes” to this year, but I think it’s fitting since this year is all about making things happen!
