Emily | 9 Months

9 months….really?! How did we get here so fast! She has officially been in this world as long as she was in my belly! Life with this peanut gets more and more exciting and interesting with each passing day! Let’s take a look at what she’s been up to this month!

  • Walking with the help of anything that will move with her (her babydoll stroller, the blocks bin, etc)
  • She’s cruising along the couch
  • She loves the stairs, that makes 3 gates now throughout my parent’s house!
  • She also loves remotes, electrical cords, and her baby monitor – she’s trouble I tell you!
  • She has recently shown a lot more interest in playing with Elly – she will crawl after her all over the living room, and she likes moving her ball around and watching Elly run after it!
  • Her favorite toys: the baby doll stroller we got her for Christmas (she will push that across the room over and over and over again), those big mega blocks, and a shape sorting basket. She’s also shown a fun new interest in her stuffed animals, like the Pooh Mike’s parents got her for Christmas.
  • Favorite foods: the blueberry pear and purple carrot Plum pouch…and bread (my girl!!)
  • Tickle spot: thighs
  • She is now a pro at waving, giving high fives and mocking us when we make funny noises with our lips (Raspberries? What’s that called when you vibrate your lips together? Anyways, it’s hilarious)
  • She is getting better at actually learning how to sip on a sippy cup, instead of just playing with it
  • She loves reading! It’s actually one of the best ways to calm her down when she’s crying. She’s gotten so much better at following along in the book. She’s been loving her board books by Sandra Boynton and starts laughing in anticipation of her favorite parts before we even get to them)
  • She is officially (and finally) down to two naps a day – she had been taking 3 naps a day up until this month
