April…seriously? I know people have always said that the older you get, the faster time flies by, but I didn’t think that would apply to me until I was at least 30. Man, oh man, time is flying by! Looking back at my March goals, I am excited that I have accomplished (at least to some degree) most of them! From getting rid of some clothes that I literally haven’t worn for years to working out more (this amazing weather has helped!) to nailing down Lightroom and loving it!

 

I’m looking forward to another warm month spent with my husband, preparing for the busy wedding months ahead. Happy Spring and Happy April everyone!

Happenings in April:

• Baseball’s Opening Day! Nothing better than the official start of baseball season!
• Engagement session on the ice at Consol Energy Center tonight (As some of you may recall, this also appeared on my February 1st post, however we had to reschedule to this month) and I couldn’t be more excited to photograph this lovely couple again on the Pens ice!
• Smiles for Africa! If you haven’t heard about this, please check it out here! Mike and I are super excited to be offering this day (Saturday, April 21st) of mini photo sessions to help raise money for our upcoming trip to Africa.
• I am looking forward to second shooting a wedding with my wedding photographer at the end of the month before I really kick things into high gear on my own come May!
• My camera comes this month! (They are only being released in limited quantity at this time and I am eagerly awaiting for mine to arrive – I will probably hug the UPS guy when he shows up with my new camera in his hands!…I’m not afraid to hug anyone!)

Personal Goals for April:

• Make more time for down time.
• Get new pictures of Michael and I together…(I’m thinking a barn, a field, and perhaps even a little sunsetting going on in the background)
• Finish reading some books I’ve started (ok, so I know that’s a repeat goal, but let’s be real…I have about 4 books I need to finish)

Business Goals for April:

• Meet with more photography friends and local wedding vendors.
• Make another sample album (showing more of the amazing, unique styles, colors, and cover options)
• Master my new camera and read the manual front to back!
