It was really nice (and needed) to take the week off from blogging last week. There has just been so much on our minds lately as we get ready for the arrival of our first little one like packing hospital bags and cleaning the house! Anyways, I’m back to blogging…at least until Emily decides to make her appearance – at which point I’m going to be taking off some more time!

Alrighty, let’s take a look at our weekend!

Friday night, Mike cooked dinner for me before we snuck out for some Coldstone and came back home to watch an unmentionable number of episodes of our latest Netflix obsession.

Saturday morning we relaxed at home with cinnamon rolls and coffee in hand as we realize that those carefree mornings of sleeping in and laying around are going to be something of the past here soon. Later that afternoon we finished our taxes (woohoo! – cutting it pretty close this year) then headed to the mall to get new phones! We are both pretty excited to officially be a part of the iPhone 6 club!

Saturday night Mike headed out with friends from his old company to watch March Madness and I went to celebrate my dear friend Krista for her bachelorette party! We booked a hotel suite and enjoyed some appetizers and played some games before we headed out to dinner at Toscana (a delicious Italian restaurant in Southpointe)!

Sunday after church we enjoyed brunch and some quality time with our friends before heading home to another relaxing day in. We finished up a couple last minute house projects, napped on the couch, caught up on Scandal, then ended the night with some Sarris ice cream and a quick visit with my parents! I feel like it’s been forever since the 4 of us hung out! Good times, as always!

Another weekend in the books, maybe our next “Weekend Shenanigans” post we’ll be talking about our new baby…a girl can hope right?! ;)
