Guys! I barely survived! Mike left Wednesday night after work for an annual golf trip to Myrtle Beach with 11 other guys. He has gone on this trip for the past 4 years, and every year I am excited for him and for the opportunity to go, but this year was hard. Between potty training Em and Ethan’s 4 month sleep regression it got pretty rough at times, but I am so thankful for such amazing friends who brought dinner, helped me put the kids to bed and just gave me some company! Some highlights from our weekend:

• Our neighborhood Easter egg hunt on Saturday (although it was so cold) – it was fun seeing Em get into it more this year and she was so excited to see her neighbor friend Kaelyn!
• Our first trip to Turtle Twist for ice cream on Sunday once the weather warmed up a little bit!
• Daily walks around the neighborhood
• A fun lunch date to Chick Fil A. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot Em starting saying “It’s lunchtime! It’s lunchtime!” – it still blows my mind how much she knows, sees and communicates these days!

Yesterday, we got the awful news that Mike’s grandpa passed away. Things escalated very quickly – after being in a nursing home on Friday then back to the hospital Saturday, he passed away Sunday afternoon. He was 85 years old and such a great man! I am so thankful for the last 12+ years I have gotten to know him…he is really going to be missed!
