Lately, it feels like we have a whole slew of events to share with you all every weekend – I’m sure it’ll slow down here soon, but until then, let’s see what we were up to this weekend.

Mike was off this Friday (he’s off every other Friday thanks to his 9/80 schedule), and we spent the afternoon taking Elly to the groomer and running some errands. Then, just before we headed out for dinner, we flushed the main floor bathroom toilet, and because apparently the drain pipe had frozen, the water had no where to go and came up through the floor and poured down through the ceiling into our laundry room in the basement! An eventful start to our weekend – right?! After cleaning it up and leaving a bucket under the leak in the basement, we had to forget about it and head out for our date night. We went to dinner at my favorite (Pasta Too!), then had our first night of birthing classes! It was actually really great and informative – although we still can’t quite comprehend that we are actually having a baby in just another month and a half! 

Saturday, we were supposed to have the rest of our birthing “intensive” class from 9:30-4 (we opted for the weekend intensive class since we weren’t able to commit to a 4 week class), but it was cancelled due to the snow. So instead, we enjoyed a much needed snow day in for most of the morning, finishing up Emily’s nursery and relaxing on the couch before heading out for some more errands to get the supplies for our entryway makeover. Saturday evening, we headed to a comedy night fundraising show to support the softball team my dad coaches, and while you never know what you’re going to get at a comedy show, we loved it and had a great time!

And Sunday…Sunday we slept in a good bit (everyone keeps telling us to make sure we take advantage of that while we can – before Emily comes, so we’re just following orders!). After church we caught up on a couple of our shows, put together everything for our new entryway space, and Mike painted our entry closet doors! “Nesting” is real my friends! Sunday night we grabbed dinner with fellow photographer and friend, Aaron Varga, his wife Amanda and our dear friends Steve and Krista (who we went to Europe with)! Mike and I are in Steve and Krista’s wedding in May, and Aaron is photographing it! I can’t believe it’s just a couple months away now…it’s going to be such a great time! And of course, we ended our Sunday night with the Oscars! That’s a wrap! Until next time, friends!
