Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I am a wedding and creative branding photographer based out of Pittsburgh! Here you will find just about everything you need to know about me and my most recent work! Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Tuesday, friends! I am super excited to announce that (now that I am home) I will be doing more DIY projects to share with you all! Everything from house decor to wedding ideas! We’ve done a handful of DIY projects that we’ve shared on the blog in the past, but we are excited to be able to do more and share them more consistently!
I’m sure some of you remember the DIY chalkboard wall calendar we did last year (and the epic fail of spilling the black paint on our new carpet)! Well, I saw an idea on Pinterest (thanks to Dimples and Tangles) and thought it was just perfect to go along with our calendar!
We have a bad habit of losing the chalk for our calendar, but now, we will have no excuses! Today, we are showing you how incredibly easy it is to hang up a “chalk holder”!
First, we went to Home Depot and found the perfect drawer pull! Then, we measured and marked the spot where we wanted it (and of course used the level, thanks to my engineer of a husband! If it were up to me, I would just eye it up, but I’m always thankful he slows me down to make sure we get it right).
Then, the super glue! Yes, indeed, we used super glue!
We gently applied a thin coat of super glue to the inside rim of the drawer pull and placed it where we made are mark! It set after 10 minutes and VOILA, there you have it, a handy-dandy chalk holder!
I can’t wait to share the next DIY project on the blog…a necklace (a great idea for bridesmaid gifts)! Stay tuned!
