Last month we took a two day trip up to Erie for little getaway with the kids. Knowing this would be a hard year to travel with the kid’s ages, we decided to just do a couple mini trips instead of a full vacation this year. We had a great time in Erie going to the beach and Waldameer park! So great having a mini “beach” less than two hours away!

To say that she LOVED the beach would be an understatement! 

The humidity got the best of her!! lol

And this past weekend we took another mini trip to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland! We’ve never been and didn’t know what to expect, but man oh man we had a great weekend and cannot wait to go back again next year! The kids got along great, the house we rented was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for better weather in the middle of September! We went boating, spent time on the “beach,” made a campfire and had the best time with some of our closest friends!
