Last week we had a cookout for our Pursuit 31 group. You may have heard me talk about it before, but Pursuit 31 is a nation-wide community started by Karen Stott with the purpose to “encourage, equip and empower busy women of the creative industry, and to draw them closer to Jesus and the incredible plan God has for them.” Meaghan and I (who lead the Pursuit 31 group here in Pittsburgh) attended the Pursuit 31 conference last year and left feeling so rejuvenated and refocused on why we run these businesses to begin with. All stress, to-do lists, and expectations aside, we learned, laughed and cried alongside so many other woman in the exact same situations as us! It was actually that conference last year that Meaghan and I really started talking about launching a wedding blog in Pittsburgh that also had an emphasis on marriage, and Lace and Loyalty came out of that! It’s crazy to see it all come full circle!

Anyways, back to the cookout last week! I am just so thankful for these girls and this community! It’s been amazing to get together with them every other week and talk about our lives, our businesses, our marriages, our priorities and more! The cookout was at Leigh of Lavender Leigh Photography‘s house and they just have the cutest house ever! It’s over 100 years old and there is charm and character throughout their whole place! AND, they have an adorable side yard with a beautiful farmhouse picnic table! It was the perfect setting for a cookout!
